About us

These terms are between you and Select Print Ltd, registered in England and Wales, company number 13308640, VAT number GB 411 9240 29. Registered office and shop: Unit 1-2 South Harrow Market, Northolt Road, Harrow HA2 0EU. Phone 020 8616 1655, email info@select-print.co.uk.

They apply to orders placed in the shop, by phone, on WhatsApp, by email or through this website.

Quotes and orders

• This website does not take payments. When you send an enquiry or a design, we reply with a proof and a quote.
• Your order is confirmed when you accept our quote and we confirm we are going ahead.
• Our quote is based on what you tell us, such as sizes, quantities and photos. If the job changes, or we find something on site we couldn't know about, we will tell you and agree any new price with you before we carry on.
• We will tell you when payment is due and whether a price includes VAT when we quote.

Proofs

• We send you a proof (a picture or PDF of your job) before anything is printed or made. Please check spelling, phone numbers, dates, prices, colours and sizes carefully.
• When you approve a proof, we make exactly what is on it. We can't be responsible for mistakes in a proof you have approved.
• Colours on a screen can look different from colours in print, and colours can vary slightly between print runs and materials.
• The pictures from our online design tools are previews to help you choose. The finished job is made from the proof you approve.

Your artwork and content

• You must own, or have permission to use, everything you send us, including logos, photos, text and brand names.
• We won't print anything that is illegal, copies someone else's brand or work without permission, or is offensive or misleading. We may refuse or cancel a job like this.
• If you buy for a business and a claim is made against us because of content you supplied, you agree to cover our reasonable costs.

Designs we create for you

• When you have paid for your job, you can use the design we made for it for your business.
• We may show photos of finished signs and print in our gallery and on social media. If you'd rather we didn't, just tell us and we will remove them.

Collection and delivery

• You can collect your order from our shop in South Harrow, or we can deliver it to the address you give us.
• Printing starts once you have approved your proof. Saver, Standard and Express are different production speeds. The dates we give are our best estimate and we will tell you straight away if anything changes.
• We deliver to most of mainland UK. Northern Ireland, the Scottish Highlands and Islands, the Isle of Man and the Isle of Wight can take longer and may cost more.
• Please give us a full, correct address and a phone number for the courier. If a parcel comes back because the address was wrong, sending it again may cost extra.

Changing or cancelling an order

• Tell us as soon as possible if you want to change or cancel. Before we start work, you can cancel without paying for production.
• Our products are made to your design or personalised for you. Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, the 14-day cancellation right for orders placed online or by phone does not apply to goods like these once they have been made to your specification.
• If you cancel after we have started, we may charge for the work, materials and design already done.

If something is wrong

Please check your order when it arrives, when you collect it or when it is fitted, and tell us straight away if anything is faulty, damaged or different from the proof you approved. If you buy for a business, please tell us within 7 days of delivery and keep the items so they can be checked. If we got it wrong, we will put it right by reprinting, repairing or refunding as the law requires. As a consumer, you have legal rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 that are not affected by these terms.

Signs and fitting

• For shop signs, we may need to visit to measure and check the wall and power supply before we confirm the final price.
• You are responsible for getting permission from your landlord, and any advertisement consent or planning permission your council requires, unless we agree in writing to help you with it. Illuminated signs and signs in conservation areas often need consent.
• Please make sure we can safely reach the area where the sign is fitted on the agreed day.

Number plates

• Road-legal number plates are supplied by NumberPlateMaster, a DVLA-registered number plate supplier.
• By law, we must see proof of your name and address and your right to use the registration (for example your V5C) before we can supply road-legal plates.
• You can order plates online on this website. We make them only after we have checked your documents and you have paid. UK delivery is free, or you can collect from the shop.
• Plates must be fitted and displayed as the law requires. Changing a plate's lettering, spacing or colours can make it illegal.

Our responsibility to you

• We are responsible for loss you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or not using reasonable care and skill.
• Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit.
• If you buy for a business, we are not responsible for loss of profit, business or opportunity, and our total responsibility for an order is limited to the price of that order.

Using this website

• The text, photos, videos, designs and layout of this website belong to Select Print Ltd or are used with permission. Please don't copy or reuse them without asking us first.
• Pictures marked "Example" are illustrations to show what is possible. Photos of our own work show real jobs.
• We work hard to keep the website accurate. If something is wrong, such as a size or a description, we will tell you before you order.

Complaints and the law

If you're unhappy with anything, please talk to us first at the shop, by phone or by email, and we will do our best to sort it out. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
